Cynthia “Cindy” Franklin

Cindy currently works for the State of Alaska Department of Law as an Assistant Attorney General, with a distinguished career focused on community health and child welfare. 

Previously, Cindy served as Director of the Alcohol and Beverage Control Board from 2014-2017, where she oversaw implementation of changes to Title IV regulations and changes related to the legalization of marijuana. She also served as the Anchorage Municipal Prosecutor from 2008-2014, where she led with a focus on child welfare and collaborating with community-based services. 

She serves on the Volunteers of America Alaska board as it aligns with her professional experience and personal passions. Cindy joined the Volunteers of America Alaska Board of Directors in August of 2018.
